In the episode of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated' aired on the 18th, Seong Han-su (played by Choi Dae-hoon) delivered a lesson to his son, Seong Tae-hun, who assaulted 18 students from another school, forcing him to realize his mistakes firsthand.
Upon hearing news of his son's assault from the local precinct, Seong Han-su took his son to a gym and challenged him to a duel. Taking responsibility, Seong Han-su stated, "It is the fault of the father who taught martial arts to his child, and the fault of the master who failed to teach the true way of martial arts," before beginning the sparring session.
As his son complained of pain even while wearing protective gear, Seong Han-su firmly reminded him, "That pain is the suffering the children you hit felt." Subduing his son with merciless kicks to convey the weight of violence, Seong Han-su was even shown falling to his son's surprise kick after finishing the discipline.
Surpasses 23.1% viewership rating, breaking series high
Episode 8 of 'Agent Kim Reactivated,' which aired that day, continued its upward trend in viewership ratings, breaking its own record. According to Nielsen Korea, it recorded 23.6% in the Seoul metropolitan area, 23.1% nationwide, and a peak instantaneous viewership rating of 26.2%, drawing intense immersion from viewers.
In the drama, Seong Han-su faced a crisis when he was misunderstood as a violent offender due to the aftermath of a commotion with the Special Mission Bureau, causing students to leave his Taekwondo studio. Following this, with his son's assault incident piling on, Seong Han-su was released alongside Park Jin-cheol (played by Yoon Kyung-ho) at the request of Agent Kim (played by So Ji-sub), but continued a difficult journey, including being abandoned in the fields of Haenam.
