The investigative methods of Jin Yi-soo, the chaebol detective played by Ahn Bo-hyun, are reaching a whole new level. Ahead of its premiere on August 7, the production team of the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Reborn Rich Detective 2' released a main poster featuring the collaboration between Ahn Bo-hyun and Jung Eun-chae, along with still cuts showing the Violent Crimes Team 1 deploying via private jet.

In the released poster, Ahn Bo-hyun stands leaning against a luxury supercar dressed in a gray suit. It captures the relaxed demeanor of Jin Yi-soo, who has sharpened his investigative instincts after attending the police academy. Park Jun-young (played by Kang Sang-jun), who was wary of Jin Yi-soo last season, and the MZ generation youngest member Choi Kyung-jin (played by Kim Shin-bi) also appear synchronized with Jin Yi-soo's wealth, wearing custom-tailored suits and holding glasses of whiskey. This season, which even mobilizes private jets, promises an investigative scale distinct from the previous one.

A Subtle Tension with 'Devil Team Leader' Jung Eun-chae

This season, Jung Eun-chae joins the cast as team leader Ju Hye-ra, adding tension to the drama. A former ace of the counter-terrorism team, Ju Hye-ra reveals the charisma of a veteran detective in all-black tactical gear. Notably, Ju Hye-ra appears as the 'Devil Team Leader' who dominated Jin Yi-soo back when he was a trainee during her time as a police academy instructor, forming a unique relationship between the two.

The two are seen gazing in different directions against a backdrop of blue sky in the poster. The combination of Jin Yi-soo breaking through cases with a supercar and Ju Hye-ra controlling the scene with a bike is expressed through the English tagline 'THE RICHEST WAY TO CATCH EVIL.' The production team stated that Ahn Bo-hyun's unrestrained wealth-driven investigation combined with Jung Eun-chae's charisma has significantly strengthened their chemistry and the show's sense of speed.

Continuing the Legacy of Season 1, Which Hit a 11% Peak Rating

Season 1 of 'Reborn Rich Detective,' which aired in 2024, garnered significant attention by recording a peak nationwide viewership rating of 11.0% according to Nielsen Korea. This Season 2 continues the lineage of the SBS 'Cider Universe'—following 'Taxi Driver,' 'The Fiery Priest,' and 'The Judge from Hell'—while also opening the doors for the SBS seasonal drama lineup in 2026.

'Reborn Rich Detective 2' consists of 14 episodes and is scheduled as the successor to the drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated.' It is set to premiere on August 7 at 9:50 PM. Production is handled by Studio S, Big Ocean ENM, and VA Entertainment.
