Uhm Jeong-hwa turns a sullen showroom visit into a BMW 730 impulse buy

Singer and actress Uhm Jeong-hwa revealed an episode from when she purchased her first car in the past.

In a video uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Fairy Jaehyung' on the 26th, Uhm Jeong-hwa went on a trip to Gangwon Province with Jung Jae-hyung and her dogs. During the trip, Uhm Jeong-hwa reminisced about the time she bought her first car in response to a question from Jung Jae-hyung.

Uhm Jeong-hwa named the BMW 730 as her first car model. She revealed that her original plan was to purchase a BMW 5 Series, but she changed her plans due to the attitude of her boyfriend who was with her at the time. Uhm Jeong-hwa explained the situation, saying, "I was doing quite well back then."

She explained that when they went to buy the car, her boyfriend maintained a sullen expression without much response and kept trying to go somewhere else. "Because he kept trying to go somewhere else, I impulsively bought the biggest one," Uhm Jeong-hwa said, sharing the background of how she ended up choosing a large sedan out of frustration with her boyfriend's reaction at the time. It is known that she drove this first car for nearly 10 years, paying off the installments for quite a long time.

Jung Jae-hyung and the dogs' trip to Gangwon Province

The two's trip was styled as a 48-hour date with their dogs, Haedeum and Super. Jung Jae-hyung, who recently obtained his driver's license, requested Uhm Jeong-hwa to demonstrate her driving.

Uhm Jeong-hwa flustered Jung Jae-hyung by appearing disorganized even before sitting in the driver's seat and starting the engine. Uhm Jeong-hwa said, "Since I am like this, at least you should pull yourself together," but Jung Jae-hyung sighed, saying, "I'm like that too, so what am I supposed to do if even you are like this?"

A confession regarding her driving skills followed. Uhm Jeong-hwa stated that this was only her second time driving a long distance, and that her trip to Gangneung with her mother in the past was essentially her first and last experience. As she showed clumsiness in operating the vehicle, resulting in a situation where it took 30 minutes just to reverse, Jung Jae-hyung burst into laughter, saying, "I thought we wouldn't even be able to leave Seoul."
