Shinyu brings trot charm to Daegu in 'National Singing Contest' musical
Trot singer Shinyu plays Min-seok in 'National Singing Contest The Stage' at Daegu's Samguk Yusa Education and Culture Center on the 31st.
Trot singer Shinyu is taking on a new challenge on the musical stage. His agency, Choi Lab, announced that Shinyu will appear in the creative musical 'National Singing Contest The Stage,' which will be held at the Samguk Yusa Education and Culture Center in Gunwi-gun, Daegu, at 7:30 PM on the 31st.

This production is a trot-based human jukebox musical inspired by the TV program 'National Singing Contest.' Following performances in Haman, Gyeongnam, and Yeongju, Gyeongbuk during the first half of this year, this Daegu Gunwi performance is part of a regional tour visiting local audiences.
Challenging acting as 'Min-seok,' a City Hall Culture Department Head
In this production, Shinyu takes on the role of Min-seok, a central character and a head of the City Hall Culture Department. Min-seok is a character defined by his diligence, strong sense of responsibility, and warm personality.
Building on the vocal prowess he has demonstrated on trot stages, Shinyu is set to showcase his acting skills as a performer in this musical. His agency stated that Shinyu's musical strengths and acting abilities will harmonize beautifully on this stage.
Shinyu's activities spanning broadcasting and live performances
Shinyu has recently been expanding his professional scope beyond singing to include broadcasting and live performances. He recently appeared as a first-round judge on SBS Love FM's 'Life is an Audition' and participated as a guest in Japanese singer Masahiko Kondo's concert in Korea.
This musical appearance is an extension of Shinyu's ongoing movement to continue his activities across various fields.
