Sung Si-kyung’s Gyeong Soju 51 wins IWSC Silver before launch
Sung Si-kyung’s premium distilled soju, made with 100% domestic rice, earns IWSC 2026 Silver ahead of its official release.
'Gyeong Soju 51' recognized for quality before official launch
Singer Sung Si-kyung's liquor brand 'Gyeong' has proven its quality on the global stage. His agency, SK Jaewon, announced on the 23rd that 'Gyeong Soju 51' won a Silver award in the Spirit category at the 'IWSC (International Wine & Spirit Competition) 2026'.

This award is particularly meaningful as it is an achievement earned solely through quality before the product has even been officially released to the market. 'Gyeong Soju 51' is a premium distilled soju made from 100% domestic rice that undergoes a double distillation process and utilizes a non-chill filtration method. The result reflects the sincerity of Sung Si-kyung, who has invested significant time into creating high-quality alcohol based on his deep knowledge of spirits.
From makgeolli to spirits: The growing record of 'Gyeong'
With this new product's award, the 'Gyeong' brand has built a solid track record alongside its existing lineup. Previously, 'Gyeong Takju 12' received a Silver award at the IWSC, and 'Gyeong Takju Rosé 12' took the Grand Prize in the Takju category at the Korea Liquor Awards. With the addition of the Silver award for 'Gyeong Soju 51', the entire lineup spanning makgeolli and spirits is seeing success at prestigious domestic and international competitions.
Sung Si-kyung has been leading the way in promoting the charm of Korean traditional liquor through his YouTube channel and the web variety show 'Zzanbro'. During a broadcast, he personally demonstrated 'Hondonju', a Joseon-style blending method, expressing his wish that "many people would definitely experience our country's traditional liquor." 'Gyeong Soju 51', which is scheduled for official release soon, is a product that reflects this very philosophy.
Continuing professional activities with the September concert 'Ja, Oneureun'
Separate from his achievements in the liquor business, Sung Si-kyung is focusing on his primary career as a singer. From September 5 to 6, he will hold the concert '2026 Sung Si-kyung with friends [Ja, Oneureun]' at the 88 Grass Field in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
Various artists, including Yang Hee-eun, Lee Jae-hoon, Won Mi-yeon, Kim Jang-hoon, Gummy, Kwon Jin Ah, and Kim Kwang-jin, are expected to take the stage to meet with the audience.
