Kim Jong Seo opens up on the lonely cost of his 20-year routine

One hour of daily exercise and vocal practice for 20 years

Singer Kim Jong Seo has revealed the strict self-management routine he has maintained for the long period of 20 years.

In a video from KBS 'The Seasons S9', Kim Jong Seo stated that he has dedicated one hour every day for 20 years to exercise and vocal practice. He also combined this with diet management, adding that he has followed a rule of not eating food after 6 p.m. or 7 p.m.

Confessing, "I lost friends for the sake of singing"

This rigorous management also led to changes in his surrounding relationships. Kim Jong Seo explained that by following these rules for 20 years, he stopped going out at night, which resulted in him losing friends. He also shared his inner feelings of loneliness, noting that because he does not go out at night, people stopped calling him.

He said he had to distinguish between what to keep and what to discard to continue singing. He has maintained his lifestyle with the mindset that he must do things he dislikes to obtain what he wants, and he also mentioned the situation of having to endure losses to protect something as he gets older.

A 40-year rocker's challenge and next year's performance plans

He also spoke about his attitude on stage. Kim Jong Seo said that when he sings, he tries to maintain the Original Key, and he continues to challenge himself to see how far he can go. He expressed that to achieve this, he must become a 'swan' himself.
