Comedian Moon Chun-sik offers a Seoul broadcasting station tour and lunch to a single father whose story of losing family moved Threads users.
“I am rooting for you intensely” Moon Chun-sik’s warm gesture
Comedian Moon Chun-sik has personally delivered a message of support to a father whose story has recently been deeply moving people online.

The story began this past May when a netizen shared a heartbreaking family history via SNS (Threads). He confessed that, starting with the loss of his wife last August, he subsequently lost his newborn second child in September and his mother in November. Despite the tragic circumstances of losing his entire family within the short span of one year, he decided to carry on with life for the sake of his eldest child remaining by his side. His sincere confession—that he has begun studying economics to spend more time with his child and has resolved to “live well while I am living”—resonated with many.
Upon encountering this story, Moon Chun-sik left a comment without hesitation. He offered specific comfort, writing, “I am rooting for you intensely! If you come to Seoul with Eun-chan, I will take responsibility for the first child's broadcasting station tour and lunch! Stay strong, sir.” In response, the protagonist of the story expressed his gratitude and responded to Moon Chun-sik's offer.
The sincerity of one who knows pain, a journey of continuous giving
Moon Chun-sik's recent action goes beyond a simple comment, providing a deeper resonance as it aligns with the lifestyle he has consistently practiced. He has regularly practiced sharing, such as visiting small restaurants struggling with management difficulties to help promote them or volunteering at orphanages with his son.
In particular, Moon Chun-sik's support feels even more special because he himself has experienced a shift in perspective through life with a child. Appearing on KBS1 'AM Plaza' in 2022, he revealed that his eldest son suffers from a congenital rare disease, stating, “Thanks to my son, my perspective on life has changed.”
His attitude toward life, rooted in deep paternal love for his own child, reached a father trying to stand up again for his child at the edge of despair, serving as a warm consolation.
