Siwon opens Threads with a horseback post and a civic question
Super Junior's Siwon joins Threads, thanks fans, shares civic concerns, and updates legal action against malicious commenters.
"I started Threads, but it feels very empty" First greetings and gratitude to fans
Super Junior member Siwon has opened a new channel for communication. On the 13th, Siwon created an account on Meta's SNS platform Threads, signaling the start of full-scale dialogue with his fans.

For his first post, he uploaded a photo of his back while riding a horse, leaving a playful greeting: "Is this Threads? I started Threads, but it feels very empty." He followed this by expressing his gratitude to his fans. Siwon added, "Without the support you all send, my thoughts might have remained mere monologues," and "Every single word of warm support and encouragement provides me with great comfort and strength."
"Worrying about the country the next generation will live in" Revealing social convictions
The opening of this platform appears to be a move to share thoughts on social issues beyond simple communication. Siwon stated, "I want to continue worrying about the future of our country together with you and share the thoughts I have been contemplating."
In particular, he posed a question to his followers: "In the past, I thought about it occasionally, but these days I think even more frequently about what this country, which the next generation will live in, should look like as a citizen. Do you feel the same?" He also expressed his willingness to embrace diverse voices, saying, "I will listen more closely to differing opinions and learn. Would it be okay if we talk together?"
"Silence ends here" Results of legal action against malicious commenters
Siwon's recent move coincides with the ongoing legal battle against authors of malicious posts. This past May, he filed a lawsuit for damages due to insult and defamation against 10 malicious commenters at the Seoul Central District Court.
There has been significant progress in the recent legal response. The United States District Court for the Northern District of California granted the discovery motion requested by Siwon's side. Through this, he successfully secured the identities of 10 users on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube.
On the 7th, Siwon revealed his firm determination, stating, "The silence ends here. I will no longer stand by and watch malice." His agency, SM Entertainment, also stated that they plan to proceed with step-by-step legal action by continuously securing evidence against the spread of false information and malicious posts directed at the artist.
