Jung Sun-ah, the actress cast as 'Elsa' in the Korean premiere of the musical 'Frozen,' met viewers by transforming into a weathercaster. On the 21st, Jung Sun-ah made a special appearance on JTBC News 'Morning&' to deliver weather information amidst the midsummer heat, promoting her upcoming production.

During the broadcast, Jung Sun-ah appeared with a bright smile, holding an Olaf doll, a popular character from 'Frozen.' Expressing anticipation for the upcoming performance, she remarked, "With the continuous news of rain and the ongoing sweltering heat, I am looking forward to a cool winter even more." She also shared weather updates regarding the early morning rain that poured over the central region, adding a cautionary note: "We must stay safe to avoid any damage from the rain."

Jung Sun-ah added, "I will return to meet you all as Elsa in the musical 'Frozen,' which will hold its first performance in Korea next month on the 13th."

An ice kingdom created by 47 actors, opening August 13

Set to open on August 13 at the Charlotte Theater in Songpa-gu, Seoul, the musical 'Frozen' has built a spectacular casting lineup led by Jung Sun-ah. Alongside Jung Sun-ah, Jeong Yu-ji and Min Kyung-ah are also named for the role of Elsa.

The role of Anna will be led by Park Jin-joo, Hong Geum-bi, and Choi Jihye, while Cha Yoon-hae and Shin Jae-beom will play Kristoff, and Kim Won-bin and Hwang Geon-ha will appear as Hans. The role of Olaf will be performed by Jeong Won-young, Han Gyu-jeong, and Lee Chang-ho. A total of 47 actors are joining this Korean premiere stage.

The production is expected to realize a fantastic winter world through stage direction and special effects involving Tony Award-winning production staff. In particular, numbers such as 'Monster' and 'I Can't Lose You,' which were newly added for the musical version, will provide a fresh experience for existing fans. Jung Sun-ah will express Elsa's inner self and narrative through numbers including 'Let it Go.'

Held as a production commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Charlotte Theater's opening, this performance will begin its Seoul run on August 13 and is scheduled to meet audiences at the Dream Theater in Busan in 2027.
