Professor Shin Jong-ho emphasizes 'the power of questioning' and literacy in the AI era
On the same day, the 14th, the 'Dalseo Family Book Concert' will be held at the Dalseo Family Culture Center for parents concerned about child education. Professor Shin Jong-ho of the Department of Education at Seoul National University will take the microphone for a lecture titled "AI that Finds Answers, Children who Ask Questions: Reading to Cultivate the Power of Thought."
Professor Shin, who works as a literacy expert appearing on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' and EBS's 'Future Education Plus,' will cover how to develop the ability to ask questions and think independently in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In particular, he plans to present specific directions for reading guidance where parents and children can grow together at home, along with practical methodologies to improve literacy.
Kim Yong-pan, Mayor of Dalseo-gu, stated, "In an era where AI readily finds the correct answers, the muscle of thought to ask questions oneself is required. I hope this book concert serves as a first step for the whole family to develop future-ready skills."
