Musical 'Brahms' steps into golden light before September stage run

Musical 'Brahms' released two types of teaser posters on the 7th. The first poster captures the back view of a young Brahms standing in the center of the stage holding a conductor's baton, depicting the moment a musician advances toward the stage through golden lighting and gold particles.

The second poster visualizes the character relationships by arranging sheet music and red roses around a piano. It expresses Brahms' musical life through a production where the burgundy color symbolizing Clara Schumann and the blue-gray color symbolizing Robert Schumann intersect.

Two Types of Teaser Posters Released

Narrative Based on 1853 Neue Zeitschrift für Musik Records

This work depicts the process of Johannes Brahms, who was a performer in a poor port city, meeting Robert Schumann and Clara Schumann and growing into a master. It is composed based on the historical fact that in 1853, Robert Schumann introduced Brahms as a musician who would lead a new era through the music criticism journal 'Neue Zeitschrift für Musik'.

The stage highlights the relationships between the three artists, including respect, jealousy, love, and devotion.

Creative Team and Performance Schedule

This production features producer Park Byung-geon (Hwi) at the helm, with playwright Son Su-min, composer Jinju Baek, director Kim Sonjin, and adapter Kim Ji-sik participating. Producer Park Byung-geon will simultaneously serve as the music director and composer.

Musical 'Brahms' is a selected work for 'Sangsang Stage Challenge', a creative musical support project by KT&G Sangsangmadang. The performance will be held from September 19 to October 25 at the KT&G Sangsangmadang Daechi Art Hall. NTA Company and PH E&M are co-hosting and organizing the event.
