The 'Guardian' Family Reunites in Gangneung
The main stars of the tvN drama 'Guardian: The Lonely and Great God,' which caused a syndrome with a peak viewership rating of 20.5% in 2017, gathered in one place after 10 years. The third episode of tvN's 20th Anniversary Edition, 'Shining Because We Are Together - Guardian: The Lonely and Great God 10th Anniversary Trip,' depicted a special party held in Gangneung to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the drama's broadcast.

In this gathering, the leads who drove the drama—Gong Yoo, Lee Dong-wook, Kim Go-eun, and Yoo In-na—met to reminisce about the past. Joining them as guests were scene-stealers Kim Byung-chul, Lee El, and Park Kyung-hye, who filled out the gathering. During the recreation led by MC Yoo In-na, laughter filled the scene as Lee Dong-wook and Yoo In-na showed their strength with numbers, while Kim Byung-chul and Park Kyung-hye tried to win their hearts.
"It was difficult because it felt ticklish": Gong Yoo reveals the weight of the famous line
The highlight of the quiz competition was the time spent guessing famous scenes from the drama. In the third round, the decisive moment when Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) proposed to Eun-tak (Kim Go-eun) appeared as a question. Kim Go-eun made the scene erupt in laughter by fully immersing herself in the character and dropping to her knees.
Following this, Gong Yoo correctly answered the question by reciting the famous line, "Will you be the bride of this Goryeo man?" When Yoo In-na praised his deep acting from that time, Gong Yoo confessed his honest feelings as an actor who had to create a romantic atmosphere, saying, "It wasn't an easy line for me. This kind of scene felt ticklish, so it was difficult." The proposal scene, reenacted for the first time in 10 years, provided a special moment for fans who remember the excitement of that time.
Video messages and the lingering impression left by an unexpected face
Even amidst the joyful atmosphere, there were moments of tears. This was because video messages sent by cast members unable to attend the scene were revealed. In the videos, the cast members offered sincere congratulations, saying, "I hope it will be remembered as a masterpiece that is loved for a long time, through its 20th and 30th anniversaries," which brought tears to the eyes of the actors present.
In particular, an 'unexpected face' appearing in the video message flustered the cast and instantly turned the scene into a sea of tears. Curiosity grew as the identity of this individual remains shrouded in mystery. This special featuring the journey in Gangneung will conclude with the fourth episode, which airs on July 12.
