RESCENE turns a one-bathroom grind into a 67-pyeong dorm
After 'Love Attack' climbs the charts, RESCENE reveals on MBC's 'Omniscient Interfering View' how 100-plus ad inquiries changed their dorm life.
Trainee days sharing a single bathroom
In the 406th episode of the MBC variety show 'Omniscient Interfering View' aired on July 11, the daily lives of RESCENE members WONI and Minami—who are currently seeing a reverse climb on music charts with 'Love Attack'—were revealed.

The members disclosed that their past dormitory was an environment where five people had to share just one bathroom. WONI shared the difficulties of that time, stating, "Since there is only one bathroom, if we are short on time, we all go in together. Mornings are a war." They lived in such a cramped space that while one person used the toilet, two others would brush their teeth, and the remaining two would have to shower.
Their practice environment was also poor. WONI recalled using a practice room located in an apartment basement during her trainee days. Because they lacked the resources to rent a separate practice studio, they installed mirrors in the basement space of an apartment, and there were times when members had to manually bail out water due to leaks. They even faced complaints caused by vibrations from the air conditioner's outdoor unit.
Surpassing 100 advertising inquiries and moving into a new 67-pyeong dorm
The success of their music chart climb has manifested in numbers. An agency director appearing as RESCENE's manager revealed, "Lately, many people have been reaching out to us first. There were as many as 97 missed calls on the phone," noting that advertising inquiries alone have exceeded 100. This is the result of growth following the days when the CEO had to personally carry hundreds of profiles around for promotion.
The agency has prepared a new dormitory measuring 67 pyeong for the members. The new residence features a 4-bedroom layout, where WONI and Kang Hyeju share one room, while ZENA, LIV, and Minami share another. The remaining room is used as a manager's room and a shared wardrobe.
The new dormitory is equipped with an elevator, a large shoe rack, and a living room with air conditioning. The members expressed satisfaction with the changed living environment, and WONI has been able to use a private room.
