Lim Kim hits a house groove with Bree Runway on 'Say Hello'
Lim Kim releases 'Say Hello' with Bree Runway, her first Universal Music Korea single before 'Exit to Nowhere' arrives July 22.
Singer Lim Kim will release her new single 'Say Hello' at 6 PM on the 9th. This new release marks her first official work since signing an exclusive contract with Universal Music Korea last year. The track serves as a pre-release single that previews the atmosphere of her second studio album, 'Exit to Nowhere', scheduled for release on July 22.
Produced by dress, the song features a danceable groove that harmonizes upbeat house rhythms with a heavy baseline. Lim Kim participated directly in writing the lyrics, embedding social contradictions and ironies into the track.
Global Collaboration with British Artist Bree Runway
To enhance the song's quality, British artist Bree Runway joined the track as a featured performer. Based in London, Bree Runway is a singer-songwriter and rapper capable of handling various genres including hip-hop, pop, and R&B.
"I have liked Bree Runway's music for a long time, and I felt she was an artist who would fit better than anyone else," Lim Kim said. "Her sense for dance music naturally aligned with the energy of the song, and we deeply empathized with the theme of the deficiency and anxiety hidden behind a glamorous exterior."
Bree Runway also expressed her excitement, stating, "I was immediately drawn to Lim Kim's brave story of carving out her own path. I love collaborations that weave different cultures and worlds together, and I am thrilled to be part of this energetic project coming out of Korea."
Lim Kim first gained recognition through season 3 of 'Superstar K' in 2011 and made her solo debut in 2013. Since building an experimental musical world through 'Sal-ki' and 'Generasian' in 2019, she is set to release her second studio album, 'Exit to Nowhere', on July 22.
