A6P Debut and 2020 'Guardian Angel' Restart
Kim Jung-yeon's musical career began in 2015 when he debuted as the leader and main vocalist of the boy group A6P. At that time, he released the digital single 'Face Off', after which he transitioned to a solo career and chose the trot genre.
Restarting his activities as a trot singer in 2020 with the single album 'Guardian Angel', he established a style that moves between traditional trot and semi-trot. Since then, he has released songs such as 'Please Stay Long, Long Time', 'Saturday Saturday Night', 'Even a Passing Glance is Fate', and 'Think About It Tomorrow'. He has performed a range of songs, from traditional trot themed around fate to upbeat tracks.
'Burning Trotman' 4th Place and 'Active Singer King 2' Stage
His success in competition programs continued. In 'Tomorrow is Mr. Trot', he reached the third round of the main competition, performing songs like 'Namhaeng Yeolcha' and 'Unknown Girl'. He created stages that combined an appealing, soulful voice with powerful high notes and performance.
In 'Burning Trotman', he reached the finals and finished in 4th place overall. Afterwards, he performed joint stages with fellow trot singers in shows like 'Burning Rose Group'. In 2025, he appeared in the third round of the main competition for 'Active Singer King 2', performing alongside Han Kang, who is from 'Mr. Trot 1'. He once again proved his live performance skills, which were honed during his military band service.
