The Power of I.O.I, Achieving 4 Music Show Wins

The group I.O.I has stood at the top once again. On the SBS 'Inkigayo' broadcast on the afternoon of the 12th, I.O.I grabbed the first-place trophy for the second week of July with their title track 'Suddenly.' Following their sweep of 'Show! Music Core' on the 13th and 29th of last month, and the 4th of this month, they have now achieved four music show wins by taking the top spot on 'Inkigayo.'

Amidst fierce competition, I.O.I secured the first-place position with a total score of 5343 points. While aespa's 'Lemonade' and RESCENE's 'Love Attack' were also nominees, I.O.I claimed the summit based on an overwhelming online music score of 4347 points. This was bolstered by 472 points from real-time voting and 300 points from on-air scores, proving their powerful momentum.

Choi Yoo-jung's Sincere Message: "I hope this gives courage to those who miss the stage"

Representing I.O.I, Choi Yoo-jung was the one to accept the trophy after completing their comeback stage. Unable to hide her surprise immediately after the first-place announcement, Choi Yoo-jung carefully shared her thoughts as the representative of I.O.I.

"Thank you once again for loving this project that we have reunited for after a long time," Choi Yoo-jung said, first expressing gratitude toward the members and fans. She added, "We hope that our current project can dare to be a source of courage to all our senior and junior colleagues who love or miss the stage." Finally, she promised healthy future activities, noting that they were able to stand on stage thanks to the fans who love K-pop.

AHOF's Comeback Stage and a Star-Studded Lineup

Along with the return of I.O.I, the broadcast featured stages from various artists. The boy group AHOF presented their comeback stage with the title track from their 3rd mini-album, 'RUN TO YOU.' Comprised of Steven, Seo Jung-woo, Cha Woong-gi, Zhang Shuai-bo, Park Han, JL, Park Ju-won, Juean, and Daisuke, AHOF showcased an expanded performance scale through styling that highlighted each member's individuality and organic formation changes.

In addition, the stage was filled with performances from Kihyun (Monsta), RESCENE, Baek A Yeon, Babymonster, VAYONN, (G)I-DLE, IDID, EVAN, YEONJUN, UDTT, USPEER, Lee Yeji, Jang Han-eum, Jung Ji Sun (loveholic), AOMG Girls, Hearts2Hearts, and HAENA.
