BB Girl brings a tropical 'BODY WAVE' to summer music shows

BB Girl (BBGIRLS) has taken to music broadcast stages with their new song 'BODY WAVE.' Following the release of the new track on the 16th, members Min-yeong, Eun-ji, and Yuna began their promotions by visiting major music programs in succession, starting with Mnet 'M COUNTDOWN' on the 23rd, KBS2 'Music Bank' on the 24th, MBC 'Show! Music Core' on the 25th, and SBS 'Inkigayo' on the 26th.

This new release is the result presented by BB Girl after approximately 1 year and 2 months. The members participated in the overall production from the planning stage. Leader Min-yeong set the direction of the song as a co-producer and also contributed to the songwriting and chorus session work. Eun-ji and Yuna also added their opinions to the staff composition required for production.

Showcasing Performance Based on Tropical Sound

The new song 'BODY WAVE' is a track that harmonizes tropical synth sounds with Moombahton rhythms. On music broadcast stages, BB Girl showcased styling tailored to each broadcast concept, including pastel-toned beachwear, marine looks, and red-toned outfits.

The performance is characterized by the chorus choreography. Movements were combined to match the lyrics, which continue with "head wave, waist wave, hip wave, leg wave," and Min-yeong's high-note live vocals took place during the climax section of the chorus.

Activity Trajectory from Habit7 to BB Girl

After debuting with the mixed-gender group Habit7 in 2013, Min-yeong was active as Brave Girls in 2016. Later, in 2023, she announced the re-debut of BB Girl with the 1st single 'ONE MORE TIME.' In January 2025, they released the 2nd single 'LOVE 2,' and in May of the same year, they collaborated through the remake song 'Hopeful Wishlist' featuring Byun Jin Sub.

Min-yeong is also pursuing individual activities. In the second half of 2024, she appeared on 'King of Mask Singer' under the name 'Samba' and advanced to the 2nd round, and in January 2025, she appeared on the radio program 'Spo-wang Ko Young-bae,' and in February on 'Han Moonchul's Dashcam Review.' Currently, BB Girl operates as a three-member system consisting of Min-yeong, Eun-ji, and Yuna.
