Hongjoong brings NO1 to the EDC Korea DJ booth this October

Ateez Hongjoong will take the stage as a DJ at 'EDC Korea 2026' held this coming October. Known as the group's leader and producer, he will ascend to the EDM festival's DJ booth featuring his solo track title 'NO1'.

EDC Korea 2026 will take place from October 3rd to 4th at Incheon Inspire Entertainment Resort. While world-renowned EDM DJs such as Tiësto, DJ Snake, FISHER, and Vini Vici are included in the lineup, Hongjoong is drawing a different kind of attention as a Korean K-pop artist.

Joining the Lineup under the name 'NO1'

Hongjoong has joined this lineup under the name 'NO1'. This name has previously been used for Hongjoong's solo track within Ateez music releases. The song 'NO1 (HONGJOONG)' was released in 2025, and Hongjoong is credited with its lyrics, composition, and arrangement.

Hongjoong, who has handled rap and performance within Ateez, has consistently participated in music production. This stage is interpreted not merely as a special appearance under the group's name, but as an opportunity to showcase his established musical role on a festival stage separately.

Incheon Inspire to Host October 3–4

Unlike general concerts, EDC is not just a place where fans of individual artists gather. It is closer to a festival where stages, lighting, rides, performers, and audience movement all blend together. For Hongjoong, the important challenge will be how to deliver the stage energy familiar to K-pop fans within the flow of a club and festival.

A DJ set cannot be evaluated solely by the perfection of a single song. One must connect the tempo, atmosphere, and timing of drops between songs while observing the audience's reaction. Given that Ateez is a team that has grown through powerful performance and stage energy, interest is high regarding how Hongjoong will translate that energy into a set under the name 'NO1'.

EDC as a Connection Following Mingi's 2025 Stage

The connection between Ateez and EDC Korea is not the first. At EDC Korea 2025, Mingi joined Raiden's stage to present the 'AUTOBAHN' remix stage, and the video can be found on YouTube. While that was a collaborative stage, this year Hongjoong is closer to being responsible for a full set under his own name.

Hongjoong said in a video message, "Since it is my first solo performance, I think it will be an unforgettable weekend." The actual outline of the stage will become clearer once the setlist, time slot, and stage are announced. What kind of sound and flow Hongjoong will leave under the name 'NO1' will be confirmed at the DJ booth in Incheon this October.
