Kang Ppul, 'Hope' GV First Attendance Reason Is 'Fun'

On the 24th afternoon, a special GV for the film 'Hope' featuring actors Zo In-sung and author Kang Ppul was held at Megabox COEX. The two had previously worked together on the Disney+ series 'Moving'. Kang Ppul revealed that he attended the GV for the first time because he found 'Hope' extremely entertaining. Kang Ppul said, "Zo In-sung never dies," expressing his affection for the actor as a creator. He said, "In 'Mills', and also in 'Moving', he could have died, but he survived until the end. It's the same in 'Hope'." He explained why he believed Zo In-sung's character was an alien. "Did I fall for the bait of director Na Hong-jin?" he said, humorously revealing his interpretation of the film. He said, "After the movie ended, I called Zo In-sung and asked, 'Are you an alien?' I was curious why he didn't die, and there were several suspicious reasons. I was also curious why the aliens didn't kill him, and I thought he might be from a different alien species that came earlier, not the same species. I doubted the reason he was chased and obsessed with. At first, I just passed by, but when he stood with a gun, the aliens said something. I couldn't interpret what they said, but I gave weight to the alien theory. After the movie came out, it's up to the audience, but I'm one of them."

Kang Ppul said, "Zo In-sung was born in the wrong neighborhood. I, Ryoo Seung Wan, and Na Hong-jin are all from Gangdong-gu, and the three of us rotate Zo In-sung." He said, "I've filmed 'Moving' and am close friends with director Na Hong-jin."
