Park Eun-bin keeps ghosts and Ong Seong-wu at arm's length

tvN's new weekend drama 'Spooky Love' is set to unveil itself with its first broadcast confirmed for the 18th at 9:10 PM. The series depicts a chaotic occult romance between a chaebol heiress who can see ghosts and a passionate prosecutor who is terrified of them. Director Lee Min-soo is set to direct, with Choi Jungmi handling the screenplay.

Park Eun-bin's Special Struggles and Ong Seong-wu's Multi-faceted Character

Actor Park Eun-bin takes on the role of Cheon Yeo-ri, the representative of Korea's top luxury Hotel and the heiress to a Hotel & Resort group. While she is a perfect individual possessing wealth, fame, and beauty, Cheon Yeo-ri suffers from hidden hardships due to her special ability to see and hear ghosts. In particular, because her ability causes anyone she touches to also see ghosts, she lives her life intentionally keeping her distance from others.

Ong Seong-wu portrays Kang Min-hwan, the successor to the CL Hotel & Resort group and the leader of the CL Raymond Hotel. He is a character driven by an intense desire to obtain whatever he wants, fueled by the goal of gaining recognition from his parents and the company. While he wears a gentle smile on the surface, he possesses a multi-faceted nature, hiding his own secrets underneath.

From Longtime Friends to Business Rivals: A Diverging Relationship

Cheon Yeo-ri and Kang Min-hwan, who share the commonality of being chaebol heirs, are set as friends who have known each other for a long time. However, the relationship reaches a turning point as Kang Min-hwan begins to harbor feelings for Cheon Yeo-ri that go beyond friendship. Kang Min-hwan attempts to approach her by revealing his sincerity, but Cheon Yeo-ri's stance is different.

Believing her ability could harm others, Cheon Yeo-ri struggles to maintain her distance to protect her precious friend. As Cheon Yeo-ri's attitude of strictly separating professional and private matters as the representative of Reina Hotel clashes with Kang Min-hwan's sincerity, a tension arises between the two, mixing friendship, love, and business interests.

The released still cuts capture the contrasting atmospheres of the two upon their reunion. Unlike Kang Min-hwan, who wears a bright smile upon seeing Cheon Yeo-ri after a long time, Cheon Yeo-ri appears to keep her distance with an awkward expression. In particular, in scenes where they confront each other as representatives of their respective hotels, the tension rises as Kang Min-hwan wipes away his smile and directs a chilling gaze toward Cheon Yeo-ri.

The production team stated, "The subtle relationship between Cheon Yeo-ri and Kang Min-hwan, where an insurmountable line exists, will provide a different kind of fun compared to the romance between Cheon Yeo-ri and Ma Gang-uk."
