Lee Hye-ri's dialect acting fools Hwang In-youp on Dream to You

Actor Hwang In-youp shared stories of the extraordinary passion for acting shown by his co-star Lee Hye-ri in their upcoming project.

In the video "I'll Give You Ramen from. Hwang In-youp," uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Yoo In-na Radio' on the 8th, Hwang In-youp discussed his character in the new ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Dream to You' and noted Lee Hye-ri's perfectionist tendencies.

Hwang described the character 'Ju Yi-jae,' played by Lee Hye-ri, as "a character everyone is bound to like because she is pretty, charming, cheerful, and lively." He expressed particular admiration for the dialect acting Lee Hye-ri will showcase in this work, exclaiming, "I actually thought she wasn't originally from Seoul."

He also spoke specifically about Lee Hye-ri's efforts. "Hye-ri is a wonderful person who does her absolute best to prepare meticulously because she doesn't want to get a single note wrong," Hwang said, revealing that Lee is so immersed in her role that a professional dialect coach accompanies her on set to ensure the character's authenticity.

During the broadcast, Hwang In-youp also expressed his affection for the host, Yoo In-na. "I really love Yoo In-na Radio. Your voice is so wonderful, senior," Hwang began. He then brought up his past work, the drama 'Guardian: The Lonely and Great God,' saying, "When men go to the military, Yoo In-na sunbae is so popular that she is mentioned as the ideal type for men," which brought a smile to Yoo In-na's face.

A 'mission' left for Hwang In-youp by Lee Hye-ri, who could not attend the filming, also became a hot topic. Unable to attend due to her schedule, Lee gave Hwang the mission to accurately explain the drama's plot and her character, 'Ju Yi-jae.' Hwang shared Lee's leading style, saying, "Hye-ri spoke very strongly that I had to explain everything accurately before she arrived," to which Yoo In-na reacted, "That's why you had that expression earlier, like you had to stay sharp."

The new ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Dream to You,' starring the two actors, is a romantic comedy depicting the reunion between Woo Su-bin (played by Hwang In-youp), a genius film director who returns after achieving his dreams, and Ju Yi-jae (played by Lee Hye-ri), a survivalist reporter living her life having forgotten her dreams.

In the video, Hwang In-youp explained the plot of the work without hesitation, prompting Go Young-bae of the group Soran to praise him, saying, "He is the type that the PR team or production company wouldn't have to worry about. He handles the pacing all by himself."

The drama 'Dream to You' is scheduled to premiere on the 13th at 10 PM.
