Gong Hyo-jin takes aim from the rooftop in Married Killer teaser
MBC’s July 31 drama Married Killer reveals Gong Hyo-jin’s Yu Bo-na as sniper Kingfisher, juggling family life and a deadly return.

The first teaser video released captures the intense appearance of Yu Bo-na (played by Gong Hyo-jin), the legendary sniper known as 'Kingfisher.' In the video, Yu Bo-na shows a cold-blooded side, pulling the trigger of a sniper rifle without hesitation from a building rooftop to take down her target.
However, her persona as a killer quickly shifts back to everyday life. After wielding the sniper rifle, Yu Bo-na appears as a devoted mother, preparing clothes for her husband Kwon Tae-sung (played by Jung Jun-won) and spending time with her daughter Kwon Yul (played by Hwang Bom-i). In particular, scenes such as her giving an awkward smile while holding a kitchen knife in front of her mother-in-law Ok Seon-ja (played by Cha Mi-kyung), or instantly catching a thrown apple, reveal Yu Bo-na's double life as she fails to hide her killer instincts.
Yu Bo-na Returns to the Field After Parental Leave
The drama's conflict intensifies as Yu Bo-na returns to the field after completing her parental leave. As news of 'Kingfisher's' return breaks via a news flash, her husband Kwon Tae-sung falls into shock, and Lee Dong-jin (played by Lee Sang-yi) becomes certain that she is Kingfisher. At the end of the video, tension rises as Yu Bo-na says, "Starting the client meeting," while readjusting her grip on the sniper rifle.

The drama 'Married Killer' is based on the popular webtoon of the same name and features a screenplay by Kim Eun-hee. Yoon Jong-ho and Kim Ji-hun will co-direct, with production involvement from Bon Factory, Baram Pictures, and Studio PIM.
Consisting of 14 episodes, the new MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'Married Killer' is scheduled to premiere on July 31 at 9:50 PM.
