Fans fill Tokyo Big Sight to support Park Min-suk's first acting challenge

Park Min-suk, a member of the group NEWBEAT, met with local Japanese fans to announce his acting debut. On the 5th, the first episode screening of the new TOKYO MX drama 'Your Sky Harenochi Koi' was held at the Tokyo Big Sight international conference center. The screening confirmed the intense enthusiasm for Park Min-suk in Japan, as all available seats were completely sold out.

Fans in attendance watched the first episode of the drama alongside Park Min-suk. During the talk program following the screening, Park Min-suk shared episodes from the filming process and his thoughts on the project. In particular, when he reenacted a famous scene from the drama on stage with Japanese actor Keigo Nakayama, who plays the role of Riku Hanamura, cheers and applause erupted from the audience.

In this work, Park Min-suk plays Moon Da-on, a Korean international student with a mysterious charm. He expressed his feelings, saying, "It is a great honor and joy to participate in this project. I am truly excited and have high expectations as I take on my first acting challenge."

During the screening, the atmosphere intensified as a surprise video message from the members of NEWBEAT was revealed. The event was prepared by the members to support Park Min-suk during his solo activities. Upon receiving the support from the members he is always with, Park Min-suk was unable to contain his emotions and turned red-eyed.

Park Min-suk shared, "Being away from the members and working alone in Japan made me feel lonely and I missed them, so this was a huge source of strength." He also shared that he is focusing on studying Japanese, adding, "I am still lacking and clumsy, but I am studying Japanese hard, so please continue to look upon me kindly and I ask for your support," as he greeted the local fans.

Thai hit remake 'Your Sky Harenochi Koi' to premiere August 2

The drama 'Your Sky Harenochi Koi' is a remake that reinterprets the BL drama 'Your Sky,' which gained popularity in Thailand in 2024, with a Japanese sensibility. The story centers on the romance between the pure-natured Hinata (played by Ayuta Fukuda) and his senior Sora (played by Isshin Aihara), who is known as the 'Tyrant Prince' on campus. Moon Da-on, played by Park Min-suk, appears as the third couple that adds to the flow of the story within their relationship.

'Your Sky Harenochi Koi' is scheduled to air for the first time on August 2 at 1:30 AM via the Japanese TOKYO MX channel.

Meanwhile, NEWBEAT, which includes Park Min-suk, achieved global success, including topping six categories on Amazon Music in the US with the title track 'Look So Good' from their first mini-album released last November. They won the Rookie Award at the '17th 2025 Seoul Success Awards' and recently successfully completed activities in China and their first nationwide tour.
