Corporal Park Min-suk's Crisis, the Changing Shinhwa Unit

His rank has risen, but his worries have deepened. The peaceful military life of Park Min-suk (played by Kim Min-ho), now a corporal, is being shaken by new variables. ENA has confirmed the premiere of the Monday-Tuesday drama 'New Recruit 4: Sabotage' for August 24 at 10 PM. The series is a hyper-realistic military comedy based on the mega-hit animation of the same name.

Kim Min-ho to Return as Park Min-seok in 'New Recruit 4: Sabotage'

Unpredictable situations unfold as new members transfer into the Shinhwa Unit, a place where 'good guys, bad guys, and weird guys' all gather. Just as Park Min-suk hopes to enjoy the leisure of being treated as a senior, a mysterious new recruit appears, and tension rises again with the arrival of a battalion commander signaling changes within the unit.

Choi Il-gu Returns as a Staff Sergeant Alongside New Faces

This season features notable changes among the existing members. Choi Il-gu (played by Nam Tae-woo), once the most senior sergeant, returns as the youngest staff sergeant among the officers, showcasing a realistic struggle as he navigates the awkward position between soldiers and officers. Kim Yo Han continues the 'New Recruit' chemistry, playing the clumsy senior Moon Bit-na-ri.

The newly joined characters act as variables that disrupt the unit's order. Lee Hyun-kyun plays Byeon Hyeok-jin, an elite battalion commander set to bring change by promoting advanced barracks culture, while Lee Won-jeong portrays Kim Hyeon-uk, a mysterious new recruit who creates a strange sense of dissonance. Additionally, Oh Dae-hwan joins as company commander Cho Baek-ho, and Kim Dong-jun joins as Jeon Se-gye, who has perfectly adapted to military life, adding vitality to the drama.

Collaboration of Director Min Jin Gi, Writer Yoon Gi-yeong, and Writer Kim Dan

Director Min Jin Gi, who pioneered the 'Gun-tents' (military content) genre, has joined forces again with comedy master writer Yoon Gi-yeong. The production team's weight is further bolstered by the addition of writer Kim Dan, who worked on Season 1.

The production team stated, "A massive 'sabotage' is about to begin, shaking the peace of Park Min-suk, who has entered the senior ranks," adding that unexpected crises disrupting the barracks order will deliver powerful laughter. Planned by KT Studio Genie and produced by Story Island, 'New Recruit 4: Sabotage' will premiere on August 24 at 10 PM on ENA.
