Fans from 114 countries unite to deliver 3,800 items of children's clothing

Global fans have extended a helping hand to celebrate actor Kim Soo-hyun's 19th debut anniversary. The 'Actor Kim Soo-hyun Korea & Global Fan Union' announced on the 24th that they donated a total of 3,800 items, including clothing and hats, to ChildFund Korea to support underprivileged children in Korea.

This donation was made possible by the fan union, composed of the Daum Cafe Yukaris and DC Kim Soo-hyun Gallery, which gathered the hearts of fans from 114 countries worldwide. The donated items were organized to match the number symbolizing Kim Soo-hyun's 19th debut anniversary. A total of 1,900 sets—consisting of 1,900 children's T-shirts and 1,900 hats—were prepared, and the clothing brand BENCH, for which Kim Soo-hyun serves as a global model, provided an additional 900 sets, bringing the total number of items to 3,800. ChildFund Korea plans to support the delivery of these items so that underprivileged children can wear them in time for the changing seasons.

Fan support delivered after a long wait as activities resume

This move by the fans carries even more meaning as it coincides with Kim Soo-hyun resuming official activities after a hiatus of approximately one year and four months. Kim Soo-hyun previously had to suspend activities due to allegations regarding his private life, but he cleared his name after investigative authorities revealed that the audio files presented as evidence at the time were fabricated using generative AI technology. He subsequently signaled his return by resuming SNS activity on the 15th.

The fan union stated, "It is meaningful to be able to provide practical help to children by gathering our hearts to celebrate the 19th debut anniversary. We hope this will be a small help for the children to grow up warmly and healthily."

Kim Soo-hyun's agency also expressed gratitude, saying, "We sincerely thank the fans who have supported and stayed with Kim Soo-hyun for a long time. The fans' trust and support were a great source of strength during difficult times."

Preparing for upcoming projects and continuing momentum

Kim Soo-hyun's activities are gaining momentum following his hiatus. He has currently received approximately 40 film and drama scripts, and for the Disney+ original series 'Knock-Off,' which has already completed filming, the production team and the platform are discussing the release timing.

Starting with 'Dream High,' Kim Soo-hyun has garnered public love through numerous works, including 'The Moon Embracing the Sun,' 'My Love from the Star,' 'The Producers,' 'It's Okay to Not Be Okay,' and 'Queen of Tears.' Recently, he has been carrying out official schedules for the first time in about one year and four months since last March through advertisements and photo shoots.
