Artists active in various fields, including actress Jeon Yeo-been, choreographer Leejung, and film director Shin Woo-seok, gathered to support the dreams of children around the world. On the 20th, UNICEF Korea held an event at the complex cultural space 'Futura Seoul' to promote its new sponsorship campaign, 'UNICEF EXCELLENCE.'

Jeon Yeo-been and Other Artists Gather for 'UNICEF EXCELLENCE' Campaign to Support Children's Dreams

This campaign is conducted through pencil-shaped rings and badges designed by global high-end jewelry designer Sally Son. A total of nine artists, including Kim Hee-sun, Jeon Yeo-been, Lee Do-hyun, Leejung, Shin Woo-seok, Kim Moon-jung, Kim Si-hyeon, Yu Ho-jin, and Park Tae-min, have joined the campaign. They have united their efforts, based on their respective expertise, to help underprivileged children avoid giving up on their dreams.

"Grow as Yourself" — Sincere Messages from the Artists

Gathered under the slogan 'Prove Your Excellence, the warmest proof in a world for children,' the artists shared reflections based on their own experiences.

Actress Jeon Yeo-been said, "Remembering my original intention and the heart-pounding first moments when I learned acting at twenty, I want to convey comfort to children across the globe." Choreographer Leejung offered her support, stating, "I hope all children in the world can grow healthily as themselves, without being trapped by the gaze of others."

Director Shin Woo-seok recalled his past experiences. He revealed, "I have the experience of being able to continue my studies and become an advertising director thanks to a scholarship someone provided. I want to return those precious opportunities and support to other children." Magician Yu Ho-jin shared his story of overcoming difficult circumstances. He gave hope to children, saying, "The time I had to practice using only my fingers because I couldn't afford to buy tools as a child actually became the strength that opened up original possibilities." Photographer Kim Si-hyeon shared her thoughts on participating, saying, "Moving beyond the preciousness of recording those closest to me, I have expanded my gaze to the daily lives of underprivileged children."

Cho Jong-hyeon, Head of the Fundraising Department at UNICEF Korea, explained the significance of the event, saying, "This is a meaningful occasion where artists who have proven excellence in their respective fields have come together with one heart to support the dreams and potential of children worldwide." This event was made possible through the venue sponsorship of Futura Seoul, and specific news regarding the campaign video can be found on the UNICEF Korea website.
