Seo Gi visits Yongsan's Gubong Mando, "It's different from any dumplings I've eaten"
Singer Seo Gi visited 'Gubong Mando,' a dumpling specialty shop located in Yongsan, and expressed admiration for its extraordinary taste.
This establishment was opened by an owner who previously ran a famous dumpling restaurant, and expectations were so high that Seo Gi even called ahead to inquire before visiting. Upon arrival, the place was already popular enough to have a waiting line forming.
Flavorful juices made with bone broth and Dangnyosu
Seo Gi tasted various types, including meat, shrimp, and juicy dumplings. In particular, the unique cooking method of leaving the lid open to control steam and juice caught the eye.
After eating the dumplings, Seo Gi remarked, "These are different from the dumplings I have eaten before." The evaluation was that the deep flavor, which goes beyond a simple meat taste, is felt thanks to the juice made by directly adding bone broth and Dangnyosu (a special liquid). The meat dumplings offered juices that filled the mouth, while the shrimp dumplings presented an umami flavor with a hint of the sea.
"I want to bring my father here"
Beyond the taste, Seo Gi expressed satisfaction with the owner's kindness. "I feel good because the owner guided me so kindly," Seo Gi said, conveying the warm atmosphere throughout the meal.
Seo Gi also thought of his father, who usually enjoys dumplings. Mentioning 'Daemunjeom' in Yeongdeungpo, a place his father frequents, Seo Gi expressed a desire to definitely bring his father here later. As a place where all dumplings are handmade, it is gaining local popularity to the point where business closes once ingredients are exhausted.
