Kyuhyun, Park Eun-tae, Lee Ji-hye and Jang Eun-a Join Frankenstein Concert at Jangchung Arena
The main cast of the musical Frankenstein will reunite for Stage Concert Series I <Frankenstein: The Musical Concert> at Jangchung Arena on August 1 and 2. Brandon Lee will conduct the full-orchestra concert as EMK Entertainment expands the musical IP beyond the stage.
The principal cast of the musical 'Frankenstein' is coming together again, this time for a concert stage. Kyuhyun, Park Eun-tae, Lee Ji-hye and Jang Eun-a have been named to the lineup for 'Stage Concert Series I

Kyuhyun and Park Eun-tae had already been announced for the concert, and the addition of Lee Ji-hye and Jang Eun-a completes the casting lineup. Lee and Jang are performers closely tied to the property, having appeared not only in the original musical production but also in last year's performance film 'Frankenstein: The Musical Live.'
The August 1-2 concerts at Jangchung Arena will rework the existing musical stage into a concert format. The production will also introduce new staging that makes use of the arena's dome structure, giving the familiar work a different scale and visual setting.
A central point of the concert is that composer and music director Brandon Lee, whose Korean name is Lee Sung-jun, will personally conduct the performance. With a full orchestra playing live, audiences will be able to hear the musical's numbers with a more expansive and powerful sound.
The character posters released for the concert use profile images from the 10th-anniversary performance of the musical 'Frankenstein.' Presented in a classic and elegant tone, the posters visually capture the drama of the characters within the work.
The concert also marks another step in the expansion of the 'Frankenstein' intellectual property following the release of the live performance film. It is part of EMK Entertainment's project to broaden the reach of its original musical IP, an effort to move a single work beyond the stage and reinterpret it through formats such as film and concert productions.
The musical 'Frankenstein' is based on Mary Shelley's classic novel. It tells the story of a genius scientist consumed by the desire to create an immortal soldier, and of the monster born as a result of that obsession.
The work was written and directed by Wang Yong-beom, with Brandon Lee serving as composer and music director. Its sweeping narrative about human desire and its musical numbers have made it a work that has drawn affection from audiences.
The performance schedule will begin with a Macau performance in July before continuing to the Seoul concerts in August. Through the 'Stage Concert Series,' EMK plans to show the potential of original musicals across a range of platforms.
