Jun Hyun-moo's 11-show secret: leaving his soul behind

Entertainer Jun Hyun-moo has revealed his personal know-how for managing the 11 variety programs he is currently hosting.

Participating in the '2026 K-Forum' keynote talk held at Conrad Seoul in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 9th, Jun Hyun-moo began the discussion by answering director Hwang Dong-hyuk's question, stating, "I am currently hosting 11 programs."

"Temporarily leave your soul behind and let your body take over"

Jun Hyun-moo cited stress management and the use of "sub-characters" as the driving forces behind his prolific output. He explained that rather than putting 100% of his heart into every single program, he focuses on the role suited to the specific situation.

"If you focus on the role that fits the situation—whether it's eating, sleeping, or hosting a music program—it works," Jun Hyun-moo added. "I approach it with the feeling of temporarily leaving my soul behind and letting my body be surrendered to the filming."

Responding to Cha Seung Won's question about guarantees: "I get paid the most for I Live Alone"

The Q&A session following the talk heated up the atmosphere as actors Cha Seung Won and Ha Ji-won took the microphones. Cha Seung Won, who had delivered congratulatory remarks, turned to Jun Hyun-moo and asked, "You said you are doing 11 variety programs; is the guarantee different for every program?"

Jun Hyun-moo answered candidly, "It varies depending on the level of hardship," adding, "I receive the most for 'I Live Alone.'" When director Hwang Dong-hyuk chimed in, asking, "Is the studio hosting program the cheapest?" Jun Hyun-moo drew laughter by responding, "That is the most sincere question I have received today."

Actress Ha Ji-won expressed her fandom toward director Hwang Dong-hyuk, saying, "I really enjoyed watching 'Squid Game.'" Ha Ji-won suggested, "Actually, I am quite talented at games. If there is an opportunity next time, I would love to appear as a cameo in one of your works," to which Hwang responded, "I will make sure to cast both of you as cameos."

Before the main discussion, the two expressed their mutual affection. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk told Jun Hyun-moo, "I am one of the viewers who enjoys not only 'I Live Alone' but also 'Hidden Singer,' 'The Manager,' and 'Jun Hyun-moo's Plan.'"

Jun Hyun-moo also praised Hwang, saying, "You are someone who has drawn a new line for K-content globally," and added, "The 'Squid Game' series is truly a magnificent work."

Meanwhile, the '2026 K-Forum,' now in its fourth year, is co-hosted by Ilgan Sports and Economist, organized to highlight the achievements of K-content and K-brands in the global market.
