Hwang Jung-eum Says on Solo-raseo Premiere She Won't Remarry and Only Wants Casual Dating
Hwang Jung-eum spoke frankly on SBS Plus's Solo-raseo about remarriage, dating after divorce and her brief relationship rumors with Kim Jong-kyu. She also reflected on her marriage to Lee Young-don and shared advice on choosing a spouse.
Actress Hwang Jung-eum has candidly shared her changed views on dating following her divorce and breakup. On the 29th, Hwang appeared as an MC on the SBS Plus variety program 'Solo-raseo', which aired its first episode, and shared updates on her recent life, noting she had not been active outside of her work due to her divorce lawsuit.

Hwang Jung-eum declares "I will not marry again"
During the broadcast, when asked about remarriage and dating, Hwang gave a firm answer: "I will not marry again." She continued with a laugh, confessing the reality of her situation, "Actually, I don't even want to date; I just want to have a 'some' (flirt). But in reality, it doesn't work out."
The core was her changed mindset. Unlike when she once expressed interest in remarriage, her mindset now appeared to have changed.
Breakup after dating rumors with Kim Jong-kyu, and legal concerns confirmed
Hwang Jung-eum also spoke about the relationship she had during her divorce proceedings. In July, dating rumors with basketball player Kim Jong-kyu were reported; while the relationship drew public attention at the time, the two eventually broke up.
Regarding the situation then, Hwang mentioned the public's misunderstanding, saying, "People thought I had already remarried." She also revealed that she had proactively checked with her lawyer to see if dating during the lawsuit would cause any legal issues.
Hwang stated, "I called my lawyer first and asked, 'Will this be a problem?' and they said it was fine. They said dating after a marriage has broken down doesn't matter." In response, MC Shin Dong-yup questioned her about meeting someone during the lawsuit, touching upon the complicated situation at the time.
Regret over spouse selection and affection for her children
Reflecting on her past marriage, Hwang shared her thoughts on choosing a spouse. She emphasized, "You must choose a spouse very carefully after deep consideration. It's not about whether that person is bad or great, but whether they are a good match for me."
She also expressed regret regarding her decision to marry hastily at the age of 33, saying, "Actually, I feel that time was wasted." However, regarding her children, she expressed her affection, saying, "The children are so beautiful, I am grateful."
To friends preparing for marriage, she offered advice based on her experience, saying, "There is still time." Hwang divorced businessman Lee Young-don, a former professional golfer, in March after 8 years of marriage, and went through a painful process of breaking up after attempting a reconciliation, which included mentioning her ex-husband's private life. Having gone through divorce, dating rumors, and a breakup this year, she is now meeting the public again as an MC on 'Solo-raseo'.
