LOVE DIVE plunges Daehakro into a flooded Seoul of 2057

An SF Universe Set in a Flooded 2057 Seoul

The musical 'DIVE' will run from August 18 to November 8 at Link the Space Theater 1 in Daehakro, Seoul. This production is based on the debut novel by author Dan-yo, winner of the Mun Yunseong SF Literature Award and the Park Ji-ri Literature Award.

The story is set in 2057 Seoul, where the foundations of life have been submerged under water. It follows the journey of Seon-yul, a water worker living in Nogosan, and Su-ho, a machine human whose consciousness is frozen in the memories of 2038, as they meet and track down lost memories to overcome loss and guilt. Since the reading showcase held in 2025, the production company MBJ Company has been refining the script and music to enhance the work's quality.

Creative Team Joins Forces: Director Lee Gi-ppeum, Writer Kim Sol-ji, and Composer Min Chan-hong

A veteran creative team has assembled to bring the stage to life. MBJ Company, the producer behind the plays 'Mirror' and 'Ppangya' as well as the musical 'Joseon Boxer,' is handling production, with Lee Gi-ppeum directing the stage. The script was written by Kim Sol-ji, known for the musicals 'Oz' and 'Eugene and Eugene,' while the music is composed by Min Chan-hong, the composer behind 'Let Me Fly' and 'Laundry.'

Talented Cast Confirmed: Park Sae-him, Ban Jeong-mo, and More

The cast has also been finalized. Park Sae-him, Park Ju-hyeok, and Jeong Ji-u will play the role of Su-ho, the machine human stuck in 2038. The role of the water worker Seon-yul will be played by Ban Jeong-mo, Jo Young-hwa, and Lee Se-heon.

Supporting roles include Im Chan-min, Gang-chan, and Park Eun-mi as Gyeong's aunt/uncle, and Lee Min-gyu, Yu Dong-hun, and Kwak Da-in as Woo-chan. Keum Bo-mi and Park Ju-a will perform dual roles, alternating between Yuan and Su-ho's mother. Ticket reservations for the musical 'DIVE' are scheduled to open in July.
