Kim Sung-soo and Park So-yoon Turn a Birthday Rumba Lesson Into Jealousy and Reconciliation

Kim Sung-soo brought up his long-held wish to try couple dancing as his birthday wish, and Park So-yoon fulfilled that wish with him. In the 13th episode of the Channel A variety show 'Groom Class 2' aired on the 11th, the two spent a day laughing, feeling flustered, feeling momentarily hurt, and then reconciling through dance while taking Rumba lessons.

Rumba lessons started as a birthday wish

Kim Sung-soo used a wish coupon received from Park So-yoon to choose learning couple dancing. His starting point was the desire to dance with someone he likes even as he gets older.

The two entered the practice room fully dressed in professional dancer costumes. Kim Sung-soo participated in the lesson under the name 'Vector,' which reminded him of 'Vectorman' with which he has a deep connection, while Park So-yoon took part as 'Lara.'

Rumba is a dance where partners match their breathing while looking into each other's eyes. From the very first lesson, the difference in their personalities was revealed. While Kim Sung-soo's mind was ahead of him, his body did not follow easily, whereas Park So-yoon, despite feeling awkward, was quick to pick up the movements. There was even a scene where Kim Sung-soo's serious gaze felt somewhat intense to Park So-yoon.

As the lesson continued, Kim Sung-soo's clumsy leading was repeatedly exposed. When Park So-yoon briefly got in sync with the male instructor, Kim Sung-soo's expression immediately hardened, and he revealed his feelings by saying, “Why don't you do it like that when you're with me, but you do it like that when you're with the teacher?”

It was a scene where he could not hide his jealousy, but the atmosphere lightened once it was revealed that the male and female teachers were a married couple. Park So-yoon also did not take Kim Sung-soo's birthday wish lightly. She continued practicing until her instep was scraped, and after more than three hours of practice, the two completed their performance.

After the Rumba lesson, the conversation between the two took another turn. Park So-yoon mentioned that she watched the screen debut film Kim Sung-soo had told her to watch, revealing her inner thought that it was difficult to watch due to the 19+ content.

Kim Sung-soo explained that he took pride in the work at the time as an actor, but he chilled the atmosphere by bringing up stories of a past girlfriend. Park So-yoon reacted by asking, “Why are you suddenly talking about your ex-girlfriend?” and the episode's focus shifted back to the relationship between the two.

Still, the ending came through dance. The two stood up again to the Rumba music and reconciled through movement before awkward words could do the work.
