Kim Dae-ho and cast tear up at Ethiopia’s Korean War hall

Kim Dae-ho, Choi Daniel, and Lee Mu-jin Face the Records of the Ethiopian Kagnew Battalion

Broadcaster Kim Dae-ho, actor Choi Daniel, and singer Lee Mu-jin visited the 'Korean War Veterans Hall,' which holds the history of the Korean War veterans, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The three cast members of MBC Every1's 'Great Guide 3' visited the hall, where records of the Ethiopian Kagnew Battalion that fought for the Republic of Korea are preserved, during their local travels. Kim Dae-ho, who usually acts as the mood maker during trips, led the group with a serious attitude, stating, "There was a place I really wanted to visit when I came to Ethiopia."

Inside the hall, the history and specific combat records of the Kagnew Battalion, who dedicated themselves to protecting the Republic of Korea in a foreign land, were on display.

Facing the sacrifice of the veterans, Kim Dae-ho expressed his gratitude, saying, "It is thanks to these people that our country has established itself well to this day, and that we are able to travel to Ethiopia like this." Instead of his usual playful self, he showed deep respect.

As Kim Dae-ho and Choi Daniel burst into held-back tears, and Lee Mu-jin was overcome with emotion to the point of being unable to speak, the atmosphere on set became solemn. The three maintained a respectful posture before the sacrifice of those who risked their lives for a foreign nation.

'Great Guide 3' Ethiopia Episode Airs July 14

'Great Guide' is a travel variety reality program where foreigners residing in Korea act as guides to find hidden gems for locals. Since its first broadcast in 2023, it has surpassed a 1% viewership rating and has been produced up to Season 3.

This episode, capturing the journey in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, will air on July 14 at 8:30 PM on MBC Every1.
