Kian84 sews up holey socks, then sends Home Alone into laughter

Kian84 revealed on the MBC variety show 'Home Alone' that he does not throw away socks with holes but instead sews them himself to wear again.

Stating that he needs to declutter because he has too many clothes, he immediately picked up a needle upon discovering socks that had holes from long-term use. This was Kian84's signature method of managing items: wearing them a few more times rather than throwing them away.

"Too Good to Throw Away" Socks Sewn on the Outside

Kian84 explained that the reason for the holes in his socks was that he "runs a lot." He added that it would be a waste to throw them away just because they have holes when they can still be worn a few more times.

His sewing skills were surprisingly proficient. However, as he sewed the socks on the outside without turning them inside out, the onlookers expressed a mix of admiration and bewilderment. Although the sewn area bulged out prominently, Kian84 expressed satisfaction, saying there is a sense of pleasure in wearing something he has sewn.

He shared his philosophy of wearing clothes and socks until they are completely worn out before discarding them, saying, "It feels good to use something until it is entirely used up before throwing it away." He also shared his personal way of saving and decluttering, noting that he gives received items as gifts if someone nearby needs them.

Cast Members Burst into Laughter at Toenail Metaphor

The remarks made during the sock repair were also characteristically Kian84. While discussing the cause of the sock holes, he suddenly shifted the topic to toenail care.

Kian84 said, "If you don't cut your toenails often, they grow quickly, to the point where the toenails could be used for cooking." At his unique metaphor attempting to explain the relationship between sock holes and toenails, the cast members burst into laughter, reacting with absurdity, saying, "You include everything" and "That's crazy."

Multiple Pairs of Maenggu, Shin-chan, and Hooni Socks

Kian84 also revealed his taste for buying several pairs of character socks and rotating between characters like Maenggu, Shin-chan, and Hooni. He explained that because the material of character socks is thin, they develop holes more easily, necessitating more sewing.
