'More mature than an adult' Tears burst at Choi Jun Hee's wedding

Comedian Jung Sun-Hee has opened up about the emotions she felt at the wedding of Choi Jun Hee, the daughter of the late actress Choi Jin-sil.

Appearing on the MBC variety program 'Radio Star' on the 8th, Jung Sun-Hee explained the meaning behind the tears she shed at Choi Jun Hee's recent wedding. Recalling the moment, Jung Sun-Hee said, "We all went through such a harsh season, but seeing that little girl handle and overcome it much more maturely than an adult was so touching and wonderful."

At the wedding held on May 16 at a hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Choi Jun Hee married a non-celebrity man 11 years her senior. The ceremony was attended by many acquaintances, including Jung Sun-Hee and Hong Jin-kyung, as well as Lee So-ra, Uhm Jung-hwa, and Lee Young Ja, who shared deep friendships with the late Choi Jin-sil.

Jung Sun-Hee humorously shared an episode from the scene, noting that she and Hong Jin-kyung could not hold back their tears, resulting in such swollen eyes that they had to wear sunglasses.

From friendship with Hong Jin-kyung to ties with Lee Young Ja

Jung Sun-Hee also mentioned her close friendship with Hong Jin-kyung. She revealed that when Hong Jin-kyung announced her divorce through the YouTube channel 'Jung Sun-Hee Who Left Home,' she chose Jung Sun-Hee as the person she could talk to most comfortably.

She continued by reminiscing about her connection with Lee Young Ja, who guided her since her rookie days. Jung Sun-Hee recalled the time she underwent rigorous training in front of the DJ booth to learn how to make an audience laugh, noting that the guidance Lee Young Ja provided at the time served as the foundation for her growth.

Episodes with past connections like Park Myung-soo and Seo Kyung-seok

The comedian also shared pleasant anecdotes involving former colleagues. Jung Sun-Hee brought laughter to the studio by revealing a mischievous joke Park Myung-soo made when she moved to MBC in 1999, as well as an incident where he prepared balloons in her car trunk. When Kim Gu Ra speculated about Park Myung-soo's affection, Jung Sun-Hee candidly admitted she once felt heart-fluttering excitement due to Seo Kyung-seok's gentle demeanor in the past.

The broadcast of 'Radio Star' recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 3.9% and a 4.0% rating in the Seoul metropolitan area, ranking first in its time slot. Jung Sun-Hee concluded by sending a sincere message to Choi Jun Hee: "You are truly brave and admirable. I hope we all can be happy."
