Karin (Kaede) and Isa, members of the project girl group IRION, stepped into the retro scenery of Jongno.

Episode 2 of the self-produced variety show 'IRION: Real Debut'—which brings the world of the MBC Plus drama 'My Idol, My Debut' to life—was released on the 9th via the YouTube channel 'ALL THE K-POP' and the Idol Champ app. Under the subtitle 'IRION~ Is this your first time in Neo-Seoul?', this episode is set in Jongno, where the past and present coexist.

The two set out to find vintage digital cameras in Jongno. Karin, known for her typically quiet personality, showed a surprising charm by chatting incessantly upon discovering a low-resolution camcorder. Meanwhile, Isa, who prefers a natural mood, followed her older sister Karin's lead, showing her charms as the youngest member.

After choosing their cameras, their time at a traditional tea house also drew attention. Faced with the unfamiliar sight of Ssanghwa-cha topped with an egg yolk, the two initially appeared nervous, but soon fell for its charm, repeatedly exclaiming, "It's delicious."

While tasting it, Karin remarked, "It reminds me of Japanese plum tea." Isa, who is from Mexico, compared the health cultures of the two countries, noting, "In Mexico, we eat chicken soup when we have a cold, but in Korea, it seems people drink Ssanghwa-cha."

In the latter half of the video, Karin shared her personal tips for 'Nam-jjik-sa' (photos taken by others). Using Karin's secrets for adjusting camera angles, they captured retro looks set against the backdrop of the Jongno streets.

IRION continues the world of the drama 'My Idol, My Debut'

IRION is a four-member group consisting of Hwang Zia, Wooa Nana, tripleS Kaede (Karin), and Isa. Unlike the typical method of releasing music content first, they are targeting fandoms by first building the members' characters and relationships through self-produced content.

Episode 1, released on the 30th of last month, captured the members' first day at work. The group is characterized by the combination of Nana and Kaede, who exude 'experienced professional' vibes, and Hwang Zia and Isa, who show the freshness of 'total rookies.' In particular, the scene where Mexico-born Isa shouts in a thick dialect, "Ma, are you confident!" left a strong impression on fans.

The group's growth narrative intertwines with the time-slip drama 'My Idol, My Debut.' The drama 'My Idol, My Debut' will premiere on the 16th via MBC Dramanet and the Japanese OTT platform Lemino.
