"I arrived after closing and opening my eyes"... Yook Eun-young shares rest area safety rules following confession of drowsy driving

A scene inspecting various traffic law violation cases and safety rules occurring at highway rest areas has been revealed.

In the JTBC 'Han Moonchul's Dashcam Review' broadcast on the 22nd, Yook Eun-young stepped in as a rest area field reporter to deliver safety rules that drivers must follow.

"The speed limit at rest areas is 30km/h"... From parking villains to failure to wear seatbelts

Yook Eun-young conducted a campaign while mentioning that the speed limit within rest areas is less than 30km/h. On the scene, vehicles speeding within the rest area or driving fast despite child protection zone markings were captured. In particular, attention was drawn as vehicles were seen driving fast in situations where children were running and playing.

Violations related to parking were also pointed out. The video captured cases of blocking aisles to secure parking spaces or using disabled-only parking zones under the pretext of temporary parking for the disabled. Additionally, vehicles parking hastily without following parking lines were also identified on-site. Yook Eun-young pointed out behaviors such as not following parking lines and urged for safe parking on-site.

Awareness regarding wearing seatbelts was also emphasized. It was mentioned that despite time having passed since the mandatory seatbelt law, cases of not wearing seatbelts due to discomfort or annoyance still exist. In the video, instances appeared where people wore seatbelts but adjusted the belt position low toward the armpit instead of the shoulder, or where multiple people shared a single belt. Yook Eun-young explained that injuries to the collarbone, etc., can occur during an accident, and that the belt must be worn correctly so that the shoulder part passes through the center. Furthermore, she suggested that failure to wear a seatbelt could lead to fatal accidents in the event of a collision.

"Car seats are essential for children"... Including episodes of drowsy driving

The importance of wearing car seats for the safety of infants and toddlers was also addressed. Yook Eun-young pointed out cases where car seat usage is neglected because a child has grown, emphasizing that infants and toddlers under the age of 6 must use a car seat.

In conversations with the cast members, dangerous cases of drowsy driving were also shared. One cast member confessed to the danger of drowsy driving, saying, "I arrived after closing and opening my eyes." Realistic episodes followed, such as using Bluetooth calls to chase away drowsiness or calling a wife to ask her to swear at them. Additionally, a case of trying to overcome drowsiness by singing praises excitedly was mentioned.

Yook Eun-young mentioned that fines for not wearing a seatbelt range from a minimum of 30,000 won to as much as 90,000 won, adding that a short moment of discomfort is the way to save a life.
