Young K to Return July 27 With Second Full-Length Album 'YOUNGEST'
DAY6's Young K will release his second full-length solo album 'YOUNGEST' on July 27 at 6 p.m. JYP Entertainment unveiled a teaser image featuring glass shards and a 'YK' key object.
DAY6's Young K is returning on July 27th at 6 PM with his second full-length album 'YOUNGEST'. This is his first solo studio album in approximately 2 years and 10 months since his first full-length album 'Letters with notes' in September 2023.
On the 6th at midnight, JYP Entertainment released teaser images announcing the release of Young K's new album through DAY6's official SNS channels.
Teaser opened with glass shards and 'YK' key
The released 'YOUNGEST : Prologue' teaser image captures Young K's sharp gaze through fragmented glass shards. Additionally, a key object engraved with his initials 'YK' was placed alongside, hinting at the concept of the new album.
All tracks from the 2nd full album will be released through various online music platforms on the day of release. As this is a solo album presented after a 2-year and 10-month hiatus, attention is focused on what kind of music Young K will showcase this time.
Solo comeback following DAY6 10th Anniversary Tour
Young K debuted as a member of DAY6 in September 2015. He has handled vocals and bass playing and is considered a member who has built the team's musical identity by participating in the songwriting and composing of the team's title tracks and overall B-sides.
DAY6's representative songs such as 'Congratulations', 'You Were Beautiful', and 'Time of Our Life' were also born through his hands. As he has built his position as a singer-songwriter alongside team activities, this 'YOUNGEST' will be an album that reaffirms his solo color.
Expanding activities from OSTs to variety shows
Recently, Young K has been continuing both team and individual activities. He marked the finale of the DAY6 10th anniversary tour by completing the 'DAY6 10th Anniversary Tour < The DECADE > FINALE in SEOUL' held at the KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul, for three days until the 5th.
Activities outside of music have also continued. He released the OST 'The Season That Returned' for the drama 'Brave New World' and served as a Master on ENA's 'The Scout'. He has also been expanding his points of contact with the public by appearing on variety programs such as tvN's 'Amazing Saturday'.
Young K's 2nd full album 'YOUNGEST' will be released on various online music platforms on July 27th at 6 PM.
