Based on the True Story of Table Tennis Player Marty Reisman

Directed by Joshua Safdie, who takes on solo directing for the first time in 17 years, this work was inspired by the true story of table tennis player Marty Reisman. It depicts the process of the protagonist Marty Mouser (played by Timothée Chalamet) racing toward the top, even at the risk of self-destruction.

The film deals with the obsession with success, human selfishness, and the desires hidden behind them. The musical elements that heighten the tension of the drama are also notable. 'Forever Young,' used in the teaser trailer, and 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World' from the main trailer also appear in the film itself.
