Pre-orders Surpass 320,000, Holding 1st Place for 8 Consecutive Days

Director Na Hong-jin's new film 'Hope' is demonstrating overwhelming pre-order momentum even before its official release. According to data from the Korean Film Council's integrated computer system, as of midnight on July 12, pre-orders for 'Hope' have exceeded approximately 322,000 tickets.

Currently, 'Hope' holds a reservation rate of 46.2%. Ahead of its July 15 release, 'Hope' maintained its 1st place ranking in pre-orders as of the 12th, marking eight consecutive days at the top. Following it are 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' in 2nd, 'Moana' in 3rd, 'Toy Story 5' in 4th, and 'The Odyssey' in 5th.

Buzz Confirmed via Special Screenings

The special screening of 'Lee Dong-jin's Untact Talk,' held at 27 theaters nationwide on July 11, further supported the film's massive buzz. Centered around CGV, these screenings were followed by a discussion video featuring Director Na Hong-jin and critic Lee Dong-jin immediately after the film's showing.

On July 11, 'Hope' drew 5,098 viewers, climbing to 8th place in the daily box office. This comes just four days before its official release. Meanwhile, 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day,' scheduled for release on July 29, began taking reservations on July 8 and secured 101,744 pre-order viewers; however, reservations were suspended after just two days as the domestic rating remained unconfirmed. 'The Odyssey,' set to release on August 5, began reservations on July 10 and has gathered 34,164 pre-order viewers, currently sitting in 5th place.

Lotte Cinema and Megabox Offer Early Bird Benefits

Lotte Cinema and Megabox are conducting early bird reservation events through their official apps and websites. The promotion is available to audiences who reserve tickets by the 14th, the day before the release. Those who complete their reservation by the 14th and visit the respective theaters to watch the film between July 15 and July 21 will be eligible for benefits.

Audiences who verify their pre-orders will receive an A3-sized 'Hope' special teaser poster, and these benefits will end early once the prepared stock is exhausted. Lotte Cinema benefits can be collected at major locations nationwide, including Konkuk Univ., Gimpo Airport, Nowon, Jeju Yeon-dong, Sillim, Yeongdeungpo, World Tower, Eunpyeong, Cheongnyangni, Hongdae Univ., Gwanggyo, Dongtan, Bucheon, Sanbon Fit-in, Seongnam Jungang, Suwon, Suji, Ansan, Paju Unjeong, Pyeongchon, Bupyeong Station, Incheon Asiad, Daejeon Central, Cheongju Yongam, Gwangju, Suwan, Gunsan Mall, Jeonju, Changwon, Gwangbok, Dongnae, Busan Main, Centum City, Daegu Gwangjang, Dongseongbu, and Sangin.

Meanwhile, 'Hope' is scheduled to be released in North America on September 9.
