The film 'The Shrine: Whispers of Evil' will arrive in homes via IPTV and VOD services starting July 8. Following its theatrical release on the 17th of last month, the film concluded its cinema run with a cumulative audience of 47,000.

Set in an abandoned shrine in Kobe, Japan, the story follows 'Myeong-jin,' a shaman who uncovers the truth behind the disappearance of three university students exploring the site, facing off against an unidentified evil spirit. Directed by Japanese genre film director Kumakiri Kazuyoshi, the film captures the raw atmosphere of the abandoned shrine through all-location filming in the actual spaces of Kobe, Japan, rather than relying on excessive CG.

Actor Kim Jae Joong takes on the role of the shaman 'Myeong-jin,' marking his first challenge in the occult horror genre since his debut. Returning to the screen after 14 years, he delivers a performance that captures the weight of the character.
