Kim Jae Joong hunts spirits at an abandoned shrine in Sinsa
Kim Jae Joong stars as Myeong-jin, a male shaman, in KITZ's mobile occult horror series Sinsa: Whispers of the Evil Spirit, out on the 23rd.
Singer Kim Jae Joong is taking on the occult horror genre by transforming into a male shaman. The global K-POP short-form platform KITZ announced that 'Sinsa: Whispers of the Evil Spirit [Mobile],' a short-form series reconfigured for mobile environments from the film 'Sinsa: Whispers of the Evil Spirit' starring Kim Jae Joong, will be released on the 23rd at 5 PM.

Directed by Kazuyoshi Kumakiri, the work follows the process of tracking a disappearance set against the backdrop of an abandoned shrine in Kobe, Japan. It is a shamanism horror piece where 'Myeong-jin,' a male shaman with special abilities, fights against eerie evil spirits. Kim Jae Joong takes on the role of Myeong-jin, delivering a performance that distinguishes itself from his existing image. Having completed all-location filming in Japan in March 2024, the work is expected to deliver an immersive experience to mobile viewers through editing that heightens tension in every episode. The theme song 'BURN,' sung by Kim Jae Joong himself, will also be released.
July Lineup Confirmed, from Animation to Global Talk Shows
KITZ will sequentially release content across various genres, including animation and variety shows, throughout the month of July. On the 15th at 5 PM, the KITZ original animation 'Kyu-Enter,' with original art by Hojo, will make its debut. A comic sitcom depicting the reality of trainees at an underdog agency, it offers interactive features such as AI chat and SNS feeds.
Following this, on the 16th at 5 PM, the full 40-episode romance fantasy animation 'When the Magpie Comes,' based on the popular BL webtoon by Yuppo, will be released. Variety shows targeting K-POP fandoms are also prepared. 'K-POP Focus,' featuring choreographer Bae Yoonjung and Ineremin's Jae-jun, covers changes in performances by era, while 'Deokjillantis,' with Jae-jun serving as MC, is a global talk show involving fans from countries such as Korea, Japan, and Türkiye, which will be broadcast simultaneously on KITZ and the YouTube channel 'Kireez.'
Strengthening Production Capabilities through Invitations to Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival
KITZ has been building its content production capabilities through works such as 'Windup,' 'Jump Boy LIVE,' 'Kill the Romeo,' and 'After School Exorcist Club.' Recently, 'Windup: The Movie' and 'After School Exorcist Club: Girls' Night' were invited to the 30th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. With the release of new works in July, KITZ plans to continuously release multi-format content throughout the second half of the year.
