Shadows of the Past Encountered at Cha Eun-hwan's Counseling Center
In the third episode of the weekend drama 'Cells', airing on Lifetime on the night of July 11, the unfortunate past of Cha Eun-hwan's (Kim Myung-soo) family is revealed. In the previous episode, Cha Eun-hwan was greatly flustered upon hearing that Yoo Ji-an (Kang Min-ah) had registered at his counseling center, as an old connection exists between the two.

A tense situation follows as Yoo Ji-an loses consciousness and collapses due to an electrical short circuit at the counseling center. In the moment she loses consciousness, Yoo Ji-an sees someone else's face overlapping with Cha Eun-hwan's and leaves an apology, saying, "I'm sorry."
Bright Smiles in Family Photos vs. the Reality of Relying on a Wheelchair
A family photo sitting on Cha Eun-hwan's counseling center desk vividly illustrates their tragedy. In the photo, Cha Song-hwan (Cha Min-ji) stands with a bright smile, unlike her current state, without the need for a wheelchair. However, as time has passed, Cha Song-hwan has reached a point where she must rely on a wheelchair.
Yoo Ji-an visits Cha Eun-hwan's house to return a misdelivered package, only to witness the siblings' situation and eventually burst into tears. In the released still cuts, Cha Eun-hwan gazes sorrowfully at his sobbing older sister, Cha Song-hwan, revealing his complex emotions as he struggles to soothe her while she spits out thorny insults.
