Park Jin-hee and Nam Sang-ji’s Pearl in Red returns to five-night schedule July 6

KBS2 daily drama 'Pearl in Red' will return to a five-day weekly schedule starting July 6. While hiatuses had continued due to programming such as '2026 KBO Fire Friday Baseball' and '2026 North and Central America World Cup Highlights' during the Friday evening time slot, starting from Monday, July 6, it will broadcast normally every evening at 7:50 PM from Monday to Friday.

'Pearl in Red', which premiered on March 30, depicts a revenge chronicle of two women who return with false identities to uncover the sins and truths hidden within the Adele family. Planned for a total of 102 episodes, it is also available on the OTT platform Wavve.

The production side officially announced that they will resume the five-day weekly broadcast schedule by refilling the Friday slot that had been vacant due to World Cup highlights and other programs. For viewers who have endured a long wait, the rhythm of the story continuing every weekday evening has finally returned.

Truth from 30 years ago surfaces in Episode 78

In Episode 78, airing on July 6, the truth from 30 years ago is revealed, significantly shaking character relationships. Park Min-jun (played by Kim Kyung-bo) is finally struck by shock as he learns the truth from 30 years ago, and Kim Dan-hee (played by Park Jin-hee) also experiences confusion upon realizing that Oh Jung-ran (played by Kim Hee-jung) is not the culprit.

The preview features Dan-hee comforting Min-jun, saying, "Our Min-jun is truly admirable, isn't he? You must be more shocked and struggling than anyone, yet you worry about me first and acknowledge me as your mother." This was followed by a scene where Min-jun hugs and comforts Dan-hee, adding to the lingering emotions between the two characters.

Growing distrust between Park Hyun-jun and Chloe

Conflicts between characters also intensify. Choi Yu-na (played by Cheon Hee-joo) warns Park Hyun-jun (played by Kang Da-bin) not to trust Chloe (played by Nam Sang-ji) too much. Yu-na expressed her wariness of Chloe, saying, "You'll only end up getting hurt. Just like how I was hurt after giving my heart to Park Min-jun."

Park Hyun-jun vents his suppressed emotions toward Chloe. He expresses his resentment without reservation, lamenting, "If you hide, conceal, and deceive, am I just supposed to stay still? What am I to you, anyway?"
