Actor Lee Dong-wook returns, aiming a gun once more amidst an intense, crimson-hued atmosphere. His agency, King Kong by Starship, has released behind-the-scenes stills from the poster shoot for the Disney+ original series 'Killer's Shopping Mall Season 2.'
In the released photos, Lee Dong-wook grips a gun with both hands, wearing dark-toned tops and a leather jacket. His face bears distinct scars, and his sharp gaze shows no sign of relaxing. Through his SNS, Lee personally shared the news that the series will be released exclusively on Disney+ on July 22, stating, "It finally begins. The return of the visually explosive Jeong Jin-man."
A Counterattack Against 'Babylon' Alongside Jeong Ji-an
'Killer's Shopping Mall Season 2' centers on the story of Jeong Jin-man, the uncle who has returned to life, and his niece Jeong Ji-an (played by Kim Hye-jun), who has completed a harsh handover from him. Now the new representative of the shopping mall, Jeong Ji-an begins a full-scale counterattack against the global force 'Babylon.'
This season adds tension to the drama with the addition of Jo Han-sun, Geum Hae-na, Kim Min, Jung Yun-Ha, Hyun Ri, Okada Masaki, and Lee Tai-young, alongside Lee Dong-wook and Kim Hye-jun. The series consists of 8 episodes in total; following the release of episodes 1 and 2 on July 22, two episodes will be released sequentially every Wednesday.
From Model Grand Prize Winner to Action Actor: Lee Dong-wook's Footsteps
Lee Dong-wook entered the entertainment industry after winning the grand prize at the 1999 V-NESS exclusive model selection contest, making his official debut that same year in the one-act drama 'Best Theater - There is a World Outside the Road.' He later made a name for himself with the public when he took on his first television leading role in the 2005 drama 'My Girl.'
Having established his presence in Season 1 as a mysterious uncle and former mercenary, he is set to showcase even deeper action in Season 2, transforming into a character with a sharp gaze and lingering wounds.
