Hyun Bin takes the President's desk as Made in Korea returns
Disney+ noir Made in Korea returns in September with Hyun Bin, Jung Woo-sung and Woo Do-hwan facing a nine-year power battle.
Baek Ki-tae Reaches the Pinnacle of Power After a 9-Year Gap
The Disney+ original series 'Made in Korea' is returning this September with Season 2. The simultaneous release of a teaser poster and a pre-teaser trailer signals that preparations are complete to build upon the success of Season 1.

Season 2 is set nine years after the events of Season 1. It is a noir drama depicting the journey of Baek Ki-tae (played by Hyun Bin) as he advances toward the pinnacle of power. In the released poster, Baek Ki-tae sits in a spacious office with a relaxed yet hollow gaze. Alongside a nameplate on the desk reading 'Director Baek Ki-tae,' the copy featuring the line, "Keep this in mind. We are acting out of patriotism, patriotism," reveals the justification he will wield.
Baek Ki-tae, Jang Geon-young, and New Confrontations
The trailer visualizes Baek Ki-tae's ambition and the cracks forming around him. Sitting at the President's office desk and saying, "I have waited for this moment for a very long time," Baek Ki-tae exudes an atmosphere different from Season 1. The line, "Sometimes, a single moment's choice changes the course of history," illustrates the impact the characters' choices will have.
A new conflict structure has also emerged. Baek Ki-hyeon (played by Woo Do-hwan) appears to face off against Baek Ki-tae, signaling the movements of military factions opposing the Central Intelligence Agency. The scene where Jang Geon-young (played by Jung Woo-sung), who was defeated by Baek Ki-tae in Season 1, reappears to face him, foreshadows a rematch between the two.
Director Woo Min-ho Returns with the Original Cast
Director Woo Min-ho takes the helm again for this season. Having directed films such as 'Inside Men,' 'The Man Standing Next,' and 'Harbin,' Woo continues his OTT directing prowess through 'Made in Korea.' The cast features Hyun Bin, Jung Woo-sung, and Woo Do-hwan, joined again by Seo Eun-soo, Won Ji-an, Jung Sung-il, and Noh Jae-won.
Previously released Season 1 aired as a 6-episode series from December 24, 2025, to January 14 of the following year. Set in 1970s Korea, it depicted the confrontation between Baek Ki-tae, who seeks to seize power by using the nation as a profit model, and Jang Geon-young, the prosecutor pursuing him. Within 14 days of its release, Season 1 set the record for the most views among 2025 Disney+ Korean original content in Korea, and achieved the highest viewership among Disney+ Korean original content in the Asia-Pacific region and worldwide.
