On the 11th (local time), Jun Ji Hyun was presented with the 'Extraordinary Star Asia Award' at the 25th New York Asia Film Festival gala held in New York. This award is presented in recognition of contributions to the development of Asian cinema and achievements on the international stage.

At the festival's opening ceremony, the film 'Colony', starring Jun Ji Hyun, was selected for screening. Director Yeon Sang Ho, who directed 'Colony', was also in attendance.

'Colony', a K-zombie blockbuster directed by Yeon Sang Ho, features Jun Ji Hyun in the role of biotechnology professor Kwon Se-jeong. Upon its domestic release in 2026, the film recorded the highest opening score and surpassed 5.9 million cumulative viewers. It also achieved significant success overseas, ranking as the all-time number one Korean film at the Malaysian box office and receiving an official invitation to the Midnight Screening section of the 79th Cannes International Film Festival.
Starring Koo Kyo Hwan, Ji Chang Wook, Shin Hyun Been, Kim Shin-rok, and Go Soo, 'Colony' will be released via PVOD (purchase service) on Coupang Play on the 23rd.
Confirmed to Star in 2027 JTBC Drama 'Human X Gumiho'
Following her cinematic success, Jun Ji Hyun is preparing to return to the small screen. She has confirmed her lead role in the new JTBC drama 'Human X Gumiho'. The project is scheduled to be released worldwide in the first half of 2027 via the JTBC channel and the global OTT platform Amazon Prime.
