Yang Sang-guk Wins Hyundai N Festival N1(C) Class in First Promoted Season

Comedian Yang Sang-guk has claimed victory in his very first season after being promoted to the Hyundai N Festival N1(C) class. He stood atop the highest podium during the race held on the 25th at the Korea International Circuit in Yeongam, Jeonnam.

The key point was the weight of a first challenge. Having been promoted to the semi-professional N1 class this year, Yang Sang-guk re-established his presence on the motorsport stage by achieving victory despite it being his first season of challenge.

N1 Promotion First Season Victory

Yang Sang-guk is a driver who has continued racing for 10 years outside of the entertainment stage. Having experienced two victories in past N2 class competitions, he embarked on a full-scale challenge by being promoted to the N1 class this year, reaching the top in his first season of promotion.

Having debuted in 2007 as part of the 22nd KBS open recruitment class and being loved by the nickname 'Prince of Gimhae,' this victory proved that racing is more than just a hobby, but a consistent challenge he has built up.

Immediately after the victory, Yang Sang-guk released photos and videos on his SNS showing him wearing a Team HMC racing suit and receiving congratulations from colleagues. He shared his thoughts, saying, "I achieved the precious result of winning in the N1 class, which I challenged for the first time," and added, "This result would have been absolutely impossible if I were alone."
