Yang Sang-guk Wins Hyundai N Festival N1(C) Class in First Promoted Season
Comedian Yang Sang-guk won the Hyundai N Festival N1(C) class in his first season after promotion. His racing challenge and the Korea International Circuit scenes will be featured on MBC's The Manager episode 400.
Comedian Yang Sang-guk has claimed victory in his very first season after being promoted to the Hyundai N Festival N1(C) class. He stood atop the highest podium during the race held on the 25th at the Korea International Circuit in Yeongam, Jeonnam.

The key point was the weight of a first challenge. Having been promoted to the semi-professional N1 class this year, Yang Sang-guk re-established his presence on the motorsport stage by achieving victory despite it being his first season of challenge.
N1 Promotion First Season Victory
Yang Sang-guk is a driver who has continued racing for 10 years outside of the entertainment stage. Having experienced two victories in past N2 class competitions, he embarked on a full-scale challenge by being promoted to the N1 class this year, reaching the top in his first season of promotion.
Having debuted in 2007 as part of the 22nd KBS open recruitment class and being loved by the nickname 'Prince of Gimhae,' this victory proved that racing is more than just a hobby, but a consistent challenge he has built up.
200km/h Close Battle and Chain Collisions
This race proceeded with intense close battles under clear weather. Yang Sang-guk participated in the competition in a tense state, revealing that he lost sleep due to pressure the day before the race.
With speeds fluctuating around 200km/h, tight psychological warfare continued from the qualifying rounds, and chain collisions between vehicles occurred during the final. Creator ITSub, who was also promoted to the N1 class this year, participated and competed at the scene.
SNS Reflections and Broadcast Schedule
Immediately after the victory, Yang Sang-guk released photos and videos on his SNS showing him wearing a Team HMC racing suit and receiving congratulations from colleagues. He shared his thoughts, saying, "I achieved the precious result of winning in the N1 class, which I challenged for the first time," and added, "This result would have been absolutely impossible if I were alone."
He continued to express gratitude to Hyundai Motor Company, Hyundai Oilbank, the team leader, director, mechanics who worked hard on-site, and the fans, stating, "This victory was made by the combined efforts and trust of everyone."
Yang Sang-guk's racing challenge story will be revealed through the 400th episode of MBC's 'The Manager,' which airs on the 30th. The broadcast is expected to capture the psychological warfare on the circuit and the appearance of acquaintances who visited the race track. Yang Sang-guk will also appear on TV Chosun's 'What Did the King Eat' starting on the 8th of next month, returning through a gourmet talk variety show.
