Shin Seul-ki takes her first stage bow in Jang Jin's comedy

Actress Shin Seul-ki, who made a mark on the public through the Netflix variety show Single's Inferno 2, will step onto the theater stage for the first time since her debut. Shin Seul-ki has been cast in the comedy play 'The Secret of Flowers,' directed by Jang Jin, where she will play the central character, 'Jina.'

Set in a rural village in northwestern Italy, the play 'The Secret of Flowers' depicts the chaos that ensues when four housewives, seeking insurance money after their husbands disappear in a mysterious accident, disguise themselves as their husbands for a day. The character 'Jina,' played by Shin Seul-ki, is a versatile problem-solver who graduated at the top of her class from the Turin Institute of Technology. It is a pivotal role that leads the start of the incident and must balance the tension and comedic atmosphere of the entire play.

A Journey from Piano Major to Actress

Shin Seul-ki's background is unique. After attending Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School and majoring in piano at Seoul National University, she first gained recognition by winning the 'Jin' title at the National Chunhyang Pageant in 2020. Following her appearance on Single's Inferno 2, where she built popularity through her honest persona, she transitioned into acting.

After signing an exclusive contract with Big Smile Entertainment in 2023, Shin Seul-ki officially debuted in 2024 playing the role of Seo Do-ah in the TVING original Pyramid Game. She continued her acting career in 2025, appearing in various genres such as KBS2's 'Please Take Care of the Five Eagle Brothers!', SBS's The Haunted Palace, and SBS's Would You Marry Me?. This play marks her first attempt to expand the acting territory she built through dramas onto the stage.

The play 'The Secret of Flowers,' which Shin Seul-ki is challenging, will run from September 12 to November 29 at the Link Art Center Bucks Hall in Seoul. The first round of ticket sales begins on August 7 at 11:00 a.m.
