Noh Hong-chul Greets Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun as “Hyung-nim” at APEC
Noh Hong-chul exchanged a relaxed greeting and fist bump with Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun at the APEC summit venue. Their connection dates back to a 2023 Federation of Korean Industries mentoring program.
Entertainer Noh Hong-chul shared a casual greeting with Chung Eui-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, at the site of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit. A video released on June 23, 2026, on the channel 'Presidential Security Service' and Noh Hong-chul's YouTube channel captured Noh Hong-chul acting as an honorary daily security officer.

In the video, while looking around the meeting venue, Noh Hong-chul spotted Chairman Chung and said, "Hyung-nim, hello. I came to greet you." Chairman Chung naturally replied, "Have you been well?" and the two showed a close atmosphere by sharing a fist bump.
The two met during the 2023 'Godsaeng Han Kki'
The connection between Noh Hong-chul and Chairman Chung dates back to May 2023. They first met when Noh Hong-chul, Chairman Chung, and SOCAR CEO Park Jae-woong participated as mentors for the MZ generation in the 'Godsaeng Han Kki' program conducted by the Federation of Korean Industries.
Noh Hong-chul previously revealed his friendship on his SNS, introducing Chairman Chung as "the Hyung-nim I know who sells the most cars." The use of the term “Hyung-nim” in the video also highlighted the long-standing ease between the two.
Chairman Chung Eui-sun's sister and the Hyundai Resort anecdote
There was also a connection with Chairman Chung's family behind why Noh Hong-chul calls him 'Hyung-nim.' Noh Hong-chul explained that he was naturally connected to Chairman Chung through his sister, saying, "I originally knew that Hyung-nim's sister more closely."
An anecdote was also shared regarding when a women's archery team was invited to the Hyundai Resort managed by Chairman Chung's sister. Noh Hong-chul recalled that Chairman Chung personally introduced the team members one by one and showed meticulous care so that the athletes could eat delicious food and have a pleasant time at the hotel.
Genesis Magma Racing completes 24 Hours of Le Mans
Chairman Chung's sports support also extended to the motorsports scene. Recently, Genesis, the premium brand of Hyundai Motor, participated in the world-renowned '24 Hours of Le Mans' race.
The number 19 Genesis Magma Racing car completed 372 laps over 24 hours at the Circuit de la Sarthe in France, finishing in 13th place. Chairman Chung personally visited the local circuit to encourage the racing team members.
